Noise Vision - Beamforming sfericonae-noisevision

Il sistema di analisi delle sorgenti di rumore omnidirezionale

The system Noise Vision finds application for the rapid identification of different sources constituents a complex machinery and for the need to be able to reconstruct the total noise emitted by the machine. Even the search for sound sources within the workplaces area has always been a major problem, whose solution calls for a series of complex acoustic measurements.

With Noise Vision you can get the same result (and even more) in a form of immediate interpretation just upon the data acquisition measurement performed and fast data processing.

The system consists of a spherical transducer equipped with 31 microphones and 12 cameras, and allows to obtain the noise map in any direction with respect to the spherical transducer, in a very short time, with a simple data acquisition. The representation of the noise maps may be either in static form for the analysis of stationary phenomena, and in the form 'animated' for the analysis of non-stationary phenomena of sources or moving.

Tra le appicazioni di NoiseVision si evidenziano

  • Finding of Noise sources;nae-setup-1
  • Study of the dynamics of the noise emitted by a source;
  • Advanced analysis of noise inside the car;
  • Identification of sources within the workspace;
  • Classification of acoustic insulation systems

  • Front-End noise: TEAC LX-20
  • Front-End Video: Nittobo
  • Option range frequencies:
    • 200Hz ~ 5.000 Hz
  • Option dynamic analysis
  • Option report in ppt format
  • Option powering on 12V
System components
  • SBM Spherical Baffled transducer (Ø 260/165mm, peso 7.8/3.6 kg)
  • Up to 31 microphones channels + tacho channel
  • Video acquisition unit

The connection between the notebook and the data acquisition unit is via LAN and the connection between the notebook and the video capture unit via USB2.0. The entire system is easily transportable and operates at both 220VAC and 12VDC.

The most advanced technologies to understand noise problems.

Several solutions are available to fit different requirements, presented by Nittobo Acoustic Engineer - Japan and DISTRAN - Switzerland. Even if the technological aspects are similar, the systems are rather different and focused on diversified applications.

The basic selection criteria is between the needs to identify noise sources in one specific direction (planar antenna) or in the 3d space around (spherical antenna), while the application shouuld consider the following:

Machineries On-board sources:

       => near filed =>  Holografia

Open field Noise sources :

       => far field => Beamforming

Confined 3d spaces:

       => Spherical Beamforming
